Diagnostic Writing Post


Overall I think I am a somewhat strong writer. One of my strengths is my ability to use evidence from the book and analyze it in my papers. I can find a significant piece of evidence throughout the novel that has significant meaning. I can take this piece of evidence and deepen others understandings of the significance. I can then connect this piece of evidence the meaning throughout the entire novel. Then I can even connect the evidence from the novel to modern day themes in the world or even to other works of literature.

However, I do have weaknesses in my writing as well. I think my biggest weakens is grammar or sentence structure. I have difficult with using correct forms of a word that sounds the same. I also struggle with correct use of punctuation. A lot of times my sentences will turn into run on sentences. i also struggle with the spelling of words when typing.

Throughout this class I really want to improve my grammar capabilities. I want to be able to use more punctuation throughout my work and use it correctly. I want to be able to write ensconce without my sentences continuing for forever. I want to be using the correct form of words that sound a like. Overall improving my grammar and punctuation capabilities is important to me.

Throughout the commercial the creators use multiple techniques to persuade you of their ultimate goal, to have your vote for Joe Bidden as a candidate. They use pathos to apply to your emotions. They try to get you angry with the current president in office and want that to change. the show you fights and rallies that many people find disturbing and aggravating. Next, they also use logos to try to persuade you that Biden is the best candidate. they give statistics and facts to convince you that voting for him is the best option. They also use ethos to convince you he is ready for office. they talk about how he served under Barack Obama as V.P. They then go on to say the Obama supports Biden. This use of ethos is having a former president approve of Biden becoming a president. These are three tools they use to convince you to vote for Biden.
